Michele Corriveau – Teacher

Michele Corriveau

Originally born outside of Montreal, Michele has been a resident of Cochrane for over ten years. Michele’s working background was as a flight attendant, a position that highlighted her propensity to working with people within a customer service setting. However, Michele had always had a passion for health and wellness that drove her to continuously look for new fitness and nutritional habits to improve her everyday living.

Michele began her Pilates journey six years ago, after it was recommended to her by her family doctor, to treat a chronic injury. After one class she was physically and emotionally hooked; after two months her injury was barely noticeable; and after one year she committed to starting her Pilates instructor training. Believing so strongly that it was Pilates that had helped in this healing process, Michele completed her comprehensive instructor training under the guidance of Jackie Hornung and Becky Cryne at Center Pilates. Michele has found a great mentor in Jackie but now it is time for Michele to implement her training and experience into her own instruction practice – Cochrane Core Pilates.

Michele’s philosophy revolves around the idea that solid nutrition, mental wellness and a constant commitment to proper movement and fitness is the key to maintaining a healthy mental and physical wellness. She has a passion for impressing these values on others to help them on their wellness journey and it is for these reasons that the has started Cochrane Core Pilates as an invaluable part of her everyday life. Just as importantly, she wants it to be a part of others’ lives as she believes that Pilates can be life changing and fun and wants the people she works with to leave with a smile on their face and eager to come back!

Amanda – Teacher

Amanda began her Pilates practice in 2019 after being in a car accident that forced her to retire from her other athletic careers. She loved the challenges she experienced from the classes she took while being safe in her rehab. Being an athlete, she is passionate about physical activity and believes it is essential for everybody to move daily. When Amanda’s not teaching at the studio she manages a physiotherapy clinic in Cochrane, AB.

One of her favorite things about teaching and working at the clinic is being able to participate in a person’s health and wellness journey. She is excited to be a part of your movement journey.
